چکیده

Abstract. Clay mineral and stable isotope (C, O) data are reported from the upper Sinemurian (Lower Jurassic) of Cardigan Bay Basin (Llanbedr–Mochras Farm borehole, northwestern Wales) Paris (Montcornet northern France) to highlight prevailing environmental climatic conditions. In both basins, located at similar palaeolatitudes 30–35? N, clay assemblages comprise chlorite, illite, illite–smectite mixed layers (R1 I-S), smectite, kaolinite in various proportions. Because influence burial diagenesis authigenesis is negligible boreholes, minerals interpreted be derived erosion Caledonian Variscan massifs, including their basement pedogenic cover. The Landscape as a Unit for Rangeland Inventory in Arid and Semi-arid Regions of Iran

Severe range degradation was critically extended in many region of Iran and caused many rangelands were restricted and interwoven with croplands in a complex system. Therefore, rangeland planning and inventory as an isolated activity has become almost impossible. Current landscape planning involves contributions of different social organizations often with different interests and with different...

Jurassic climate mode governed by ocean gateway

The Jurassic (∼201-145 Myr ago) was long considered a warm 'greenhouse' period; more recently cool, even 'icehouse' episodes have been postulated. However, the mechanisms governing transition between so-called Warm Modes and Cool Modes are poorly known. Here we present a new large high-quality oxygen-isotope dataset from an interval that includes previously suggested mode transitions. Our resul...

The environmental concern, ensuring comfort for occupants, pushed us to search for the impact of glazed loggia on thermal comfort of adjacent space in Cons tantine climate, having s trong climatic cons traints. An experimental s tudy is undertaken and described in this paper. Analysis of the in situ results is also discussed. This work shows that in winter glazed loggia benefit largely from sol...

High-resolution carbon cycle and seawater temperature evolution during the Early Jurassic (Sinemurian-Early Pliensbachian)

The Early Jurassic was marked by a progressive recovery from the end-Triassic mass extinction and punctuated by recurring episodes of anoxia. These changes, associated with fluctuations in carbon isotope composition of marine carbonates, remain incompletely understood. Here we present a highresolution carbon and oxygen isotope record for the Early Jurassic based on well-preserved marine mollusk...
